The primary motivation for making this game stemmed from not seeing people adhere to good social distancing practices. Ultimately I want more people to keep physically separated so we can flatten the curve and stop the spread of COVID-19.

Keep Your Distance from other people to stop the spread of COVID-19.

In this endless runner you need to move quickly to ensure a safe distance around yourself so you don’t catch (or spread) COVID-19!

It’s more than just an endless runner: you can virtually stay home and relax!

The game is divided into two parts: the endless runner and a stay at home scene. Gameplay is predictable for the endless runner since it works well with the theme of keeping away from things. The other part takes place in the home in which the player can look outside or watch the TV.

We are living in unprecedented times and Keep Your Distance was created to help convey the simple idea of physical distance to slow the spread of illness. To be effective we need people everywhere to adopt public health precautions, act in solidarity, and prevent the spread of misinformation.

We can all help prevent the spread of COVID-19 through simple personal hygiene measures. The UN has identified four areas of focus.
1. Hand washing
2. Reduce face touching
3. Respiratory hygiene
4. Staying home

Maintain physical distancing
Maintain at least 2 metres (6 feet) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing.
Why? When someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain the virus. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the COVID-19 virus if the person coughing has the disease. Also danger of surface contamination – hence importance of personal hygiene.
Where advised, stay home and avoid gathering in groups or with people who may be more vulnerable such as the elderly and those with underlying health conditions.
