IN the past few days two nifty music videos have popped up on my radar. The first one is a neat question: what if you outsourced video production and creation to India. Drew Smith did just that and the result is beautiful:

So I outsourced my video to Bangalore, India. Why? Well, I figured the last thing the world needed was another low-budget singer songwriter video.
Fortunately, the first Virtual Assistant I found on google also happened to be a dance choreographer. After a couple of emails and phone calls, I received this beautiful video in my inbox. Many thanks to Asha Sarella and Vishwas Avathi. I can’t thank you enough!

The second video is from M.I.A. and it’s clearly inspired by – and a commentary on – Saudi Arabian driving culture. Saudi Arabia has a driving, particularly competitive driving culture that seems to be unique. Unlike drifting in Japan, these driving moves are performed on public highways and the cops don’t seem to care.

Why isn’t there a video game about Saudi Drifting? If there is, please leave a link in the comments.

Turn off your speakers and check this video from 2006:

You can turn your speakers back on for this one from 2011:

Also noteworthy is that Suadi Arabia won’t let people dive until they are 25, did I say people? I meant to say men. Females are not allowed to drive and to make things more bizarre it’s proclaimed by thinkers in the country that if women are allowed to drive then there would be no more virgins in Saudi Arabia.

So with all that in mind you can see how M.I.A. essentially sticks her finger up at the insane laws in Saudi Arabia:
